Arsenal are prepared to meet Julian Draxler's release clause of £37 million in the summer as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his frontline. The Schalke attacker could be available in January but the clause comes into effect in July.
* Betis & Valencia eye Iago Aspas:
Liverpool striker Iago Aspas is a transfer target for La Liga clubs Real Betis and Valencia. The 26 year old moved to Anfield last season for £7 million but is down the pecking order.
* Man City revive £40m Mangala interest:
Manchester City have revived their interest in Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala but are unlikely to sign him in January unless his £40 million release clause is met.
* Capoue to join Napoli for £7.5m
Napoli will sign Tottenham's French midfielder Etiene Capoue for £7.5 million this January, representing a £1.5m loss for the north Londoners. Capoue joined Spurs in the summer for £9m.
* Barca keeping tabs on Vermaelen, Mangala & Inigo Martinez:
Barcelona have targeted Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen, Porto's Eliaquim Mangala and Real Sociedad centre back Inigo Martinez as alternatives for primary target David Luiz.
* Everton to offer Baines new deal:
Everton are hoping they can ward off interest from Manchester United in Leighton Baines by offering the left back a new contract this January.
